This is Unit 506 — the vacant, abandoned unit directly above 502, and the source of the water and mold coming into the home below. Its ceiling has collapsed onto the bed, the roof framing above is rotted black, and mushrooms and black mold are growing on it — proof the water has been coming in for a very long time.
