Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 28, 2026

We want every neighbor to be able to use this site, including residents with disabilities. This shared record only works if everyone can read it, post to it, and take part.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the widely recognized standard for web accessibility. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we keep improving the site.

What we have done

  • A “Skip to content” link and full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator
  • Meaningful text alternatives for images, and icon-only buttons labeled for screen readers
  • Color contrast chosen to meet AA in both the light and dark themes
  • Properly labeled form fields for posting issues, replies, polls, and events
  • A light/dark theme toggle and a one-tap English/Spanish language toggle
  • Respect for the “reduce motion” system setting — animations are turned off when you ask your device for less motion
  • A responsive layout that works on phones, tablets, and computers

Known limitations

Some content is added by residents themselves — for example, an uploaded photo may not always come with a description. Links to third-party services (the management company’s email or phone, a maps link, a PDF document) may not fully meet our standard. We choose accessible options where we can and always offer another way to reach the information.
